December 22, 2025

Mount Pleasant Football Academy brought Spanish Town Police FC down to earth, by thrashing the St Catherine team 5-0 at Drax Hall yesterday.

In their previous match, bottom-of-the-table Spanish Town Police got their first win of the season, by defeating Waterhouse FC 3-0.

Yesterday, however, they were bombarded by Caribbean club champions Mount Pleasant whose goals were scored by Raheem Edwards (2nd, 60th), substitute Tajay McIntosh (53rd, 89th) and Jahshaun Anglin.

Mount Pleasant stayed fourth in the standings with 19 points, while Spanish Town Police remained bottom on five.

After three straight draws, Dunbeholden scored their first win in four matches, 1-0 over Tivoli Gardens FC at Dunbeholden Sports Complex.

Nicholas Nelson scored the game's only goal on the hour mark, as Dunbeholden moved into ninth place on 13 points.

Tivoli slipped from sixth to seventh with 15 points, the same as Waterhouse.

At Turner's Oval, Cavalier rebounded from two straight defeats with a 3-0 win over Chapelton Maroons. Chad James (17th, 61st) led with a brace, and James Gallimore (80th) scored the other goal for the Corporate Area team which lie fifth on 19 points. Chapelton Maroons are 12th on 12 points..

At Ferdi Neita Park, Racing United FC climbed to the top of the table after playing to a 0-0 draw with Harbour View FC.

Racing are tied on 26 points with MoBay United, but have a better goal difference.

"We want to keep this momentum going," said Racing's coach Anthony Patrick. "We are there (top of the league) and anybody that wants it have to beat us. So we just have to keep our momentum going."

Harbour View's coach Vassell Reynolds said they came for at least a point against the league's in-form team.

"The whole aim was to get a point out of this game. We knew Racing was the form team. They were blazing in terms of performance and results," observed Reynolds.

"So we put a lot of work into this one. It was a gutsy performance and maybe we could have scored one in the latter point. But we are satisfied with the point," he said.

Harbour View are eighth in the table on 14 points.

In the late game at the Drewsland Mini-Stadium, Molynes United FC beat Arnett Gardens FC 3-1, with a brace from Tyrique Wilson.

Arnett are 10th on 12 points, while Molynes United are 13th on nine.
